The annual appeal asks for donations of Christmas dinner in a box for four to six people, which are then collected and given to local families by Cornwall Council and local Children’s Centres.
Last year’s appeal collected over 3,500 boxes, helping to bring some Christmas cheer to thousands of families struggling to make ends meet.
If you want to support the Cornwall Christmas Box appeal simply go to cornwallchristmasbox.co.uk where you can download a shopping list of items to fill your box. Then wrap it up and take it to one of 40 collection points across Cornwall by 10th December 2021, which are all listed on the website.
A typical box costs around £30-£40 but you can share the cost by getting together with friends, neighbours and colleagues to fill a box together.
Wildanet is joining the small army of volunteers who pick up the boxes from the collection points for onward distribution. We’ll be using a fleet of Wildanet vans and our engineers to make sure the boxes get to where they’re needed.
