Wildanet Champions the Real Living Wage – Join Us in Supporting Cornwall’s Living Wage Movement

At Wildanet, we are proud to be a Real Living Wage accredited employer. We believe that paying the Real Living Wage is not just the right thing to do - it’s smart business. It helps attract and retain talented individuals, strengthens our team, and ensures everyone is treated fairly.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the Real Living Wage and supporting fair employment across Cornwall, we are proud to help promote an important upcoming event hosted by the Cornwall Real Living Wage Group.

This event is designed for businesses in construction, renewable energy, and environmental sectors – industries that face unique staffing challenges and opportunities. It offers a valuable chance to learn more about how becoming a Real Living Wage accredited employer can enhance recruitment, retention, and reputation.

Every sector of business goes through exciting, productive or challenging times. For businesses connected to construction, renewable energy or environmental works this could be a time of opportunity and a time of challenge.

Opportunity as many clients want to engage you; challenging because there can be issues around attracting or retaining staff.

One way of attracting and retaining good employees is by becoming a real living wage employer accredited with the Living Wage Foundation. Over 300 businesses in Cornwall are now accredited with the Living Wage Foundation, which means over 15,000 workers in Cornwall are guaranteed to receive the real living wage.

Owners and managers report significant business benefits in retaining experienced staff that provide better service or productivity: “Introducing the Living Wage is not only the right thing to do for our co-workers, it also makes good business sense. This is a long-term investment in our people based on our values and our belief that a team with good compensation and working conditions is in a position to provide a great experience to our customers. Ikea.”
