The broadband of the future

Our teams are working to install a new Full Fibre broadband network in your area.

We apologise for any temporary short-term disruption this may cause and would like to reassure you that our aim is to pass each home quickly, safely and considerately.

You will see temporary safety barriers being put in place to help protect you and our workforce, but access to your property will be maintained throughout the work. Should you have any special requirements or need any additional assistance during the work, please speak to a member the on-site team who will be happy to assist.

Help us to minimise any disruption

We work closely with our contractors to help ensure any disruption is kept to a minimum. However, we appreciate there are times things don’t always go to plan. In these instances, we want to hear from you so we have the opportunity to put anything right.

Please help us to minimise any disruption by reporting any issues to us directly by emailing [email protected] or calling 0800 0699906. Reporting any issues to our team in this way will help us to investigate and resolve any issues quickly and thereby minimising any potential disruption.

Your Questions Answered

At this early stage, we’re unable to provide an exact date for when the service will be available, as it is dependent on many variables during the build itself. However, if you’d like to be informed when the new Full Fibre broadband service is ready, please register your contact details below and our team will be in touch as soon as we’re able to confirm a date for the service to go live. Current prices for our Full Fibre broadband services can be viewed on our website here, although please bear in mind that these are subject to change.

Yes. Our aim is to pass each home quickly, safely and considerately. You will see temporary safety barriers being put in place to help protect you and our workforce, but access to your property will be maintained throughout the work. Safety boards are used and ramps fitted for any wheelchairs/prams etc. Should you have any special requirements or need any additional assistance during the work, please speak to a member the on-site team who will be happy to assist.

Yes. The work has been agreed in advance with your local authority and all necessary permits have been obtained. The length of permit for each street can vary, depending on the works to be carried out. Some factors outside our control can also impact our work, and timescales may vary due to the nature of working on the public footpath, collaborating with a large number of third parties and also the weather.

As well as installing our fibre cables in the street and connecting them back to a main cabinet, we also place a small box into the pavement close to each home on the street. This box contains a connection to the Full Fibre network.

If a resident then chooses to take a Full Fibre service once the network goes live, the fibre connection will be brought into the home and connected to a router by a Wildanet fibre engineer.

Some on-street public parking may be temporarily out of action while we pass by. We may also need to ask you to move your vehicle if it is parked on the public footpath or preventing us from progressing. In these instances, we always endeavour to provide you with as much notice as possible and we apologise in advance for any temporary inconvenience this may cause.

We strive to minimise any impact by tidying up after ourselves and doing a final clean once the reinstatement works are complete. Please appreciate that the weather can impact us, and parked vehicles can sometimes prevent us conducting a full and thorough clean of the area, following the work. We will provide advance notice if we require any support with moving any parked vehicles.

Any work we do is checked by the Local Authority to ensure it meets the statutory standards and is safe. Existing paving will be lifted and stored on site ready to relay and tarmac will be re-laid to meet current legislation and Local Authority standards.

All street works are completed to approved standards

• All of the operatives conducting work on our behalf are accredited under the New Road and StreetWorks Act 1991.• All machinery is operated by fully qualified operatives.• All sites are set up in accordance with strict rules set out in the New Road and Streetworks Act 1991 and The Highways Act 1980.• All works are overseen by experienced and accredited Supervisors.
