As the football club closest to Wildanet HQ and a ground that we drive past every day on our way into work, it was going to be inevitable that our paths would cross.
Wildanet approached the RNAS Culdrose FC back in November to enquire about putting a billboard by the roadside at the ground. With it's location next to the main access road to the Lizard Peninsula, it seemed the perfect spot to advertise as we have now provided coverage across the area.
A chance conversation one evening also highlighted the fact that the clubhouse itself was unable to get broadband due to infrastructure restrictions. This however, wasn't a problem for us. Wildanet's superfast wireless broadband was already covering Mullion and Gunwalloe nearby.
Within a couple of weeks, we installed broadband to the clubhouse which gave staff the opportunity to work within the clubhouse as they now had an internet connection. It also meant they could stream live football into the clubhouse on Saturdays.
In agreement for the board rental, we agreed a 2 year deal to sponsor the kit for both the mens senior and under 15's Lynx team. This is beneficial for both parties and something we were happy to be involved with.
It's always a great boost to a season to get a new kit. In Cornwall, conditions are harsh so kits wear out easily. We think the kit looks great and one of the Lynx's 15 year old Rosie Ship (A Real Madrid trialist) even posted a picture of herself and the team on Instagram wearing the new kit.
Adam Cuthbert, Secretary & Treasurer for the club said…
“The sponsorship deal from Wildanet has been a massive boost to the club, not only have we received a new kit for the First team but also the Lynx U15’s, the installation of the match day fixture board is a first for the club. The installation of Wildanet WiFi within the club has been fantastic and a new element in our club refurbishment, we are looking in developing this partnership further”.
